Nivells Lite

Nivells Lite

If you like deduction and ingenuity games, Nivells is your game.

Be surprised by its simplicity and solves multiple gameboards that Nivells can offer. Each time you run a new game Nivells calculates a gameboard to which you have to deduct the right combination, remember, this combination is always there, find it!

Following some simple rules you can enjoy hours of entertainment testing your skill. In addition, Nivells will help you know if your deductions are correct or not.

The objective is to place the numbers from the 1 to the 4 without repeating them and ordered within each row and column so, that the amount of visible numbers agrees with the indicators located around the gameboard, considering that a number is visible in its row or column, if there are no higher numbers in front that they hide it.

In http://nivells.ipasper.com/en you will see the game instructions and an example of developing a full game, where you can appreciate how to solve a Nivells board.

Nivells is available in English, Spanish and French in your App Store and runs on the iPhone and iPod Touch from version 3.0 and later.

ATTENTION! This is a lite version of Nivells, in the complete version also is possible to play in a 6x6 gameboard that increases the difficulty.

What's New in Version 1.3

Available the 5x5 gameboard.

4/5 stars

nice, but solutions are not unique

I like this puzzle; interface is good with color changes in edge data giving some feedback.
Lite version offers 4x4 (soon found to be fairly easy) and 5x5 (more challenging).

At least one of its puzzles has more than one solution.
data: 3,3,1,2 on top; 3,3,1,2 on left edge; 2,1,3,3 on bottom; 2,1,3,3 on right edge
work: fill outer 12 cells first
remaining inner 2x2 can be filled in two ways (both acknowledged by this app as a solution)

Developer's website has good instructions (not found within the app) and an annotated example. (Note: those pages display well in Firefox and iCab, but Safari 4.0.5 mangles them.)
